PHIVOLCS BULLETIN FEBRUARY 19, 2020 8:00AM

Activity in the Main Crater in the past 24 hours has been characterized by weak emission of steam-laden plumes rising 50 to 100 meters high before drifting southwest. Sulfur dioxide (SO2) emission was below instrumental detection due to weak plume activity. The Taal Volcano Network recorded thirty (30) volcanic earthquakes that are associated to rock fracturing processes beneath and around the edifice.

Alert Level 2 is maintained over Taal Volcano.
